Post Meridiem Dental Clinic (오후의치과) is located in the Suwan District of Gwangju, South Korea. As our name suggests, we start in the afternoon and see patients into the evening — so you don't have to take time off work for a dental visit.

What we do
Laminate veneers — LamiFit
Our in-house veneer program. The director personally handles every step from diagnosis to bonding.
Teeth whitening
In-office professional whitening, combined with at-home whitening when helpful.
Invisalign & clear aligners
Full-arch clear aligner treatment with 3D simulation, plus shorter partial orthodontics for front teeth.
Root canal treatment
We check whether a tooth can be saved before extracting it, including vital pulp therapy (VPT) and retreatment.
Gum care
A periodontics specialist manages gum disease, peri-implant care, and advanced gum surgery.
Two directors run the clinic together — a specialist in advanced general dentistry and a specialist in periodontics. Before any treatment, we show you your CT and camera images on screen and explain why we recommend it, until it makes sense to you.
Your first visit
A first visit usually takes about an hour: panoramic and CT imaging, an examination, and a consultation where the doctor walks you through your own images on screen. You leave with a clear picture of what (if anything) needs treatment, the schedule, and the full cost in writing — before anything begins.
What to bring: your ARC or passport, your medication list if you take any, and previous dental records or X-rays if you have them.
Insurance & payment
If you are enrolled in Korean National Health Insurance (NHIS), your coverage here is identical to that of Korean nationals — including one insured scaling (cleaning) per year. Covered items are billed through NHIS automatically with your ARC.
Implants, veneers, whitening and orthodontics are non-covered treatments in Korea. We provide the total cost in writing before treatment starts, and there are no additional charges added mid-treatment. Cards are accepted.
Nervous about dental visits?
Many of our patients come to us after years of avoiding the dentist. We use staged anesthesia: a numbing rinse or topical gel first, then a slow, machine-controlled injection. For very anxious patients, an oral sedative taken before the appointment is an option — you stay awake and able to communicate throughout. We do not use propofol sleep sedation. Where conditions allow, implants are placed without incisions or stitches.

Our team primarily speaks Korean. If you are more comfortable in English, e-mail is the most reliable way to reach us — please include your name, what you'd like to have checked, and your preferred visit times, and we will get back to you. Visiting with a Korean-speaking friend or using a translation app during the visit also works well; our doctors explain everything with images on screen, which makes communication much easier.
Treatment methods and outcomes vary depending on each patient's oral condition. Side effects such as swelling, bleeding, or temporary sensitivity may occur after procedures. Non-covered treatment fees are provided in writing at the clinic in accordance with Article 45 of the Korean Medical Service Act.
